Dr. Wang obtained his bachelor’s and doctoral degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2005 and 2010, respectively. Dr. Wang continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow in the field of biomedical engineering, stimuli-responsive materials and nanotheranostics for cancer therapy, at Georgia Institute of Technology (2011-2013) and University of Chicago (2013-2015). In 2015, Dr. Wang came back to USTC and joined as a full professor at the School of life sciences with the support of the “Young Thousand Talents Plan” programme. His research involves the applications of nanomedicine to re-programme the tumor microenvironment to enhance anticancer therapy efficacy and nanobio-interface to understand the mechanisms behind the nanomedicine and target tissue interaction, and their clearance from liver and kidney. He has published more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals with citations over 2600 times.
